Cigarette is available abundantly in the shops of Nepal even in such place where a packet of iodine salt is not accessible. Now just imagine how much it is dominating product in Nepal whereas cigarette carries serious health risks. This is Surya cigarette which I picked it up from a small shop of Bagbazar, the most dense populated area of Kathmandu. Though the shop was so small 3 feet in breath, it contains more than 10 varieties of cigarette with different flavors. In Surya brand, I found cigarette not only with varieties of flavors but also with life style. For eg. Surya Luxury Kings Cigarette, Surya Legend, Surya 24 Carat, etc catering wide spectrum of consumer taste and preference. The increase in cigarette price is very minimal that even a college student can offer it daily despite of increase in price within these 2 years. It was supposed to have 90% pack warning but still its only 75%. Lets act for plain packaging or atleast 90% as provision in order to discourage the people to smoke in their life.
